In Memory of Judy Foster Valentine

Class of 1973
Douglas S. Freeman High School

        Judith Foster Valentine MARCH 12, 1955 – SEPTEMBER 26, 2015

Obituary of Judith Foster Valentines IN THE CARE OF Woody Funeral Home-Parham VALENTINE, Judith Foster, 60, passed away September 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Foster Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Lydia Valentine; mother, Carolyn Foster; sister, Kathryn Gregory (David); and brothers, Warren Foster Jr. (June) and Thomas Foster (Sherri). Judy spent her entire life in Richmond. After graduating from Longwood College, she worked as a bond broker in downtown Richmond for many years. She later retired and decided to pursue her dream in education. She attended Mary Baldwin College and the University of Virginia to obtain her master's degree in special education. She found her calling at Riverside School in Chesterfield, where she began as a volunteer and later became a full-time teacher and had been there the past 11 years. Judy was a caring, loving and selfless woman with a constant smile, and brought joy to everyone she met. The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kind words during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judy's name to Riverside School, 2110 McCrae Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23235. A Celebration of Life service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, October 2, at Trinity United Methodist Church, with a private service to follow. online condolences at woodyfuneralhomparham.com
