Our most-traveled? One of us has visited 49 U.S. States or Territories and has also visited 23 foreign countries.

1 of us has a birthday this month, and 3 of us have birthdays in June.

SUSAN BAILEY BLACK.BLACK, Susan Bailey, 57, of Waynesville, N.C., formerly of Richmond, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, at her home. Her visitation and funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, N.C. 28104. The family will receive friends Friday, September 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate her life will be Saturday, September 29 at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Matthews Historic Cemetery. Susan was born October 10, 1954, in Fort Bragg, N.C., daughter of Bobbie Shumaker Tracy and the late Robert Samuel Bailey. She was raised in Richmond, Va. She graduated from Douglas Southall Freeman High School and the University of Virginia, where she received her degree in nursing, as well as the Medical College of Virginia, where she received her master's degree in hospital administration. Susan worked at the University of Virginia Hospital from 1977 to 1990. She is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, Dr. Alan Scott Black; mother, Bobbie Shumaker Tracy (Frank E. Tracy) of Charlotte, N.C.; stepmother, Mildred Bailey of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Jane Bailey Blythe (Rev. Larry Alan Blythe) of Charlotte, N.C., and Beth Bailey Dubis (Dr. Kevin Mark Dubis) of Jackson, Tenn.; and other extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Students for Life of America, http://donate.studentsforlife.org (the general public donation site).
